Skrillex

Skrillex is the alias by Los Angeles, California, USA performer Sonny Moore to separate his electronic solo work from his work with From First to Last and his other solo undertakings.

As Skrillex, Moore is an electronic DJ and maker flaunting a melodic style that consolidates electro house, squirm house, and dubstep. Moore started creating and performing under the false name Skrillex at clubs in the Los Angeles zone in 2008.

All through 2010, Skrillex turned into a greater and greater piece of Moore’s life. On June 7, 2010 he discharged his introduction EP as Skrillex, My Name is Skrillex, as a free download. Before long, he was marked to mau5trap and started an across the country visit with deadmau5. On October 22, 2010 he discharged his second EP, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, as a co-discharge through mau5trap and Big Beat.

On June 2, 2011, Moore declared the arrival of a “Frightening Monsters and Nice Sprites” remix EP titled More Monsters and Sprites, which was discharged on June 7, 2011 on Beatport and June 21, 2011 on iTunes. It contained 3 new tracks, just as 4 remixes of “Frightening Monsters and Nice Sprites”.

Skrillex declared his name OWSLA on August 17, 2011.

On December 23, 2011, Moore discharged the Bangarang EP. The EP highlights Ellie Goulding on the track “Summit”, just as coordinated efforts with Wolfgang Gartner, Kill the Noise, The Doors and twelfth Planet

Skrillex has been assigned for five honors at the 54th Annual Grammys to be held in February 2012. Among his assignments are Best New Artist, Best Dance Recording (for “Unnerving Monsters and Nice Sprites”) and Best Short Form Music Video (for “First of the Year (Equinox)”)
